David Rudisha, was born on December 17, 1988, in Kilgoris, Kenya. He belongs to the Maasai ethnic group of Kenya. It is therefore assumed that he learned how to run from his parents. His mother Naomi Rudisha competed in the 400-meter hurdle event and his father Daniel Rudisha was a runner in the past. Daniel participated in the 1968 Olympics as well and won a silver medal. The 4400-meter relay team also included his father. Rudisha is a Kenyan citizen and a Kenyan national by birth. Furthermore, David studied in St. High School Patrick’s.  

Running and sprinting were two of the sports David, an Olympic champion, participated in. Japheth Kimutai, who later gave James Templeton his recommendation, served as his instructor. As a professional athlete, David debuted in 2005. He was also being taught by Brolm O’Connell at this time. Brolm O’Connell was both a geography teacher and an Irish missionary at St. Patrick’s Iten School. David clocks a 1.49.6, after his attempt at the 800 meters, he finished sixth in a two-lap race on a dirt track. The 15-year-old’s work was regarded as exceptional. Additionally, in 2006, David took home the 800m junior world championship. He was also at his best and injury-free between 2010 and 2012. David made his name in the 800m during this time and became a legend.

The IAAF World Athlete of the Year award was given to David when he was just 21 years old, making him the youngest recipient ever. In addition, on August 22, 2010, he broke Wilson Kipketer’s 800-meter world record. The record was harmed during a function at the ISTAF conference in Berlin.
