There are four categories at the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2023 - Open 10K, Champions with Disabilities, Senior Citizens Run, and Majja Run, in which the athletes will be racing.
The TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2023 is all set to take place in May 2021, 2023, at the renowned Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The event is recognized as a World Athletics Gold Label event and has attracted over 27,000 participants across all categories. The top 10 male and female finishers in the Open 10K will receive the finisher tee as a symbol of recognition and appreciation for their efforts and achievements.
There are four categories in this event – Open 10K, Champions with Disabilities, Senior Citizens Run, and Majja Run, in which the athletes will be racing. The elite field will be competing for the prize money of $210,000. The Majja Run category offers an enjoyable, non-competitive experience for participants. As it is a non-timed category, finish times will not be recorded, and no timing certificates will be provided. Additionally, a Virtual Run is available for those interested, with registrations remaining open until May 15, 2023.
Kenyan world record holder in the men’s 10km road race Rhonex Kipruto and Ethiopia’s Birhanu Legese, who is the world’s fourth fastest marathoner and the Tokyo Marathon 2019 and 2020 champion, are some of the biggest stars in the men’s field to watch out for at the event. On the other hand, Kenya’s Irine Cheptai who is the Commonwealth Games 2022 silver medalist in the 10000m will start as one of the favorites in the women’s elite race in the 10K race.
Jamaican athlete Sanya Richards-Ross who has won four gold medals at the Olympics and five golds at the World Championships will serve as the International Event Ambassador and offer her support to the participants. ASICS, a Japanese sports performance brand and long-standing official Sports Goods Partner of the event, has unveiled its exclusive Finisher Tee, which was launched by Indian cricketer and ASICS Athlete, Prasidh Krishna.

The LIVE Streaming details for the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2023 isn’t available yet. However, the event organizers, Procam International, have previously live streamed the race on their YouTube platform and are expected to do so this year as well.
