The Zurich Maratón de Sevilla 2023, also the Zurich Seville Marathon 2023, will take place on February 19, 2023, and will include some of the world’s top marathon runners. Olympian Nicolas Navarro will attempt to break the French national marathon record. Whereas Kenya’s Stanley Biwott, with the best time in the men’s marathon (2:03:51), and Ethiopia’s Sintayehu Tilahun Getahun, with the best time in the women’s category (2:22:19), will be favorites for the marathon title. The elite division will include about 200 participants in total. This marathon is one of the flattest in Europe. As a result, this is perfect for runners attempting to obtain the shortest time required for Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The last year’s edition saw the Ethiopians Asrar Abderehman (2:04:43) and Alemu Megertu (2:18:51) break two records in both men’s and women’s competitions respectively. Furthermore, Ayad Lamdassem smashed the Spanish record with a timing of 2:06:25. Since 1985, the marathon has been run yearly in the streets of Seville. Both governmental and private organizations support it, which is run by the town hall’s department of sports. It hosted the marathon event at the 1999 World Championships in Athletics. It was picked by the IAAF (now World Athletics) for the first time as a Gold Label Road Race in 2018.

The Zurich Seville Marathon 2023 is scheduled to take place on February 19, 2023. The race is set to begin at 8:30 am (Local time).
The Zurich Seville Marathon’s LIVE Streaming will be accessible via Olympics.com live and without geographic limits. There will be two commentary stations for the competition, one in English and one in Spanish.
The Olympic qualification procedure for Paris 2024 began on November 1, 2022. For the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, competitors must have minimum times of 2:08:10 for men and 2:26:50 for women to be eligible to compete.
