National Cross Country Athletics Championships 2023: Rules

Every finisher will receive points based on his or her finishing position. In other words, the first-place finisher earns one point, second-place earns two points, fifth-place earns five points, and so on. The total points scored by the scoring athletes on each team will determine the team champions. The team with the fewest total points will be declared the winner. If a team does not finish with a complete scoring team (four finishers), the runners who finish will be classified as individuals in the race result and will be eligible for individual honours only, not team championship. In calculating the aggregate for the team championship, no adjustments to the score of the finishing teams for non-scoring team runners or individual entries shall be made.
