James Cipperly was born on May 4, 1984. Orange Cassidy is an American professional wrestler and wrestling trainer better known by his ring moniker. He is presently contracted to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is the current AEW International Champion[a] in his first reign, which is also the title’s longest reign.
Prior to joining AEW, he worked as the luchador enmascarado (masked professional wrestler) Fire Ant for the Chikara organization. Fire Ant was a member of the Colony stable, which won the Campeonatos de Parejas once and the King of Trios twice. He also debuted unmasked as a part of The Gentleman’s Club group in Chikara, with Chuck Taylor and Drew Gulak, and worked as a trainer at the promotion’s Wrestle Factory school. From 2004 through 2019, he was also a renowned wrestler on the independent circuit.
In 2019, Orange Cassidy signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), a promotion that aimed to provide an alternative to mainstream wrestling. Cassidy made his debut on AEW’s weekly show, Dynamite, quickly becoming a fan-favorite. His nonchalant approach and comedic wrestling style resonated with audiences, and he soon gained a devoted following.
