Not much about John Silver’s early life is known other than the fact that he was trained by Mikey Whipwreck and then shortly made his debut at the age of 16 in 2007. During his debut and the time following that he primarily appeared in the New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC). Following his debut, he appeared in many promotions like Combat Zone Wrestling, WWE, Chikara, and most recently AEW.

Silver made his debut for CZW on May 1, 2011, against Dalton Castle with a loss. Sadly this was his only match in CZW for almost two years, during which he did not make a single appearance. Later on May 11, 2013, he made his return to CZW as a tag team with his long-time partner Alex Reynolds and they dubbed their team the Beaver Boys. During their debut as Beaver Boys, they faced the reigning CZW Tag Team Champions BLK-OUT, and their attempt ended up in a loss. The Beaver Boys got their first CZW win against 4Loco on July 13.

John Silver and Alex Reynolds would make their AEW debut on October 16, 2019, as a tag team during an episode of AEW Dynamite. The Beaver Boys would then lose their first-ever match in AEW. Later on October 30 during another episode of Dynamite, the Beaver Boys would team up with Q.T. Marshall against Best Friends but unfortunately lose to them. After many consecutive losses, both of them aligned themselves with The Dark Order.
