Tony Khan spoke about the challenging decision of selecting which members of his roster will make appearances on either show.
Tony Khan and his team are finalizing preparations for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. In a recent interview, the president of All Elite Wrestling discussed the challenges and tough decisions he had to make leading up to this historic event.
AEW has put itself in a challenging position by scheduling two pay-per-views on consecutive weekends. This Sunday, August 27th, All Out will be held in London, England, followed by another event in Chicago on September 3rd.
During a recent media call, Tony Khan spoke about the challenging decision of selecting which members of his roster will make appearances on either show.
“It’s a very difficult decision, and I have to make that decision. It’s very unpleasant and people want to do whatever they can do to be on Wembley, but there’s a great show coming up the following week in another market that is hugely important to AEW and that’s Chicago at the United Center.” [H/T: Fightful]
It’s understandable why celebrities would go to great lengths to secure a spot on the show because All In is considered one of the most monumental events in professional wrestling history. However, Tony Khan believes that All Out, another significant occasion for the promotion, evokes similar sentiments:
“I think there will be people clamoring to be on All Out as well, but certainly the big priority now and everyone’s focus is All In, and with good reason because it’s going to be a massive event.”
This ended converstation.
Unfortunately, some of the biggest names in AEW will not be participating in All In this weekend. While there are still exciting moments to anticipate, the absence of these popular stars will certainly be noticeable.
Some notable names missing from the event due to ongoing injuries are Bryan Danielson, PAC, and Jamie Hayter. Additionally, it has been reported that Rey Fénix will not be able to participate in the event, possibly due to travel or visa-related issues.
It remains to be seen how Tony Khan will adjust the card in response. However, there is high anticipation that All In will deliver a standout pay-per-view show this year.
