There is a possibility of an invasion similar to what happened in WCW if the son of a WWE legend follows through with his recent threat.
There’s a possibility of an invasion similar to WCW if the son of a WWE legend follows his recent threat. Austin Gunn from Bullet Club Gold recently posted on social media, warning all the tag teams on AEW Dynamite.
Since breaking away from their father, Billy Gunn, The Gunn Club has made a name for themselves. By aligning with Jay White and Juice Robinson, they have elevated their status and become prominent members of Collision.
In a passionate social media post, Austin Gunn expressed his frustration and issued a strong warning for future matchups. He criticized his opponents and made it clear that the entire tag team division should be on high alert.
“Invade #AEWDynamite. Beat your fav tag-team. Repeat. #AEWCollision Cowboys,” Gunn posted.
Having Billy Gunn as their father, Austin and Colten had the privilege of being immersed in the world of pro wrestling. They grew up with opportunities to interact with legendary figures like Paul Wight (also known as Big Show) and even The Hardys.
In a Sports Illustrated interview, Matt Hardy described the surreal experience of wrestling with The Gunns after having seen them grow up right before his eyes.
“I remember the Gunns as kids from when they were the ages of my own children, now we’re wrestling them. How crazy is that? I love giving back. Father Time holds back for no one. As you get older, things change, but you have to make the most of it.”
The Gunns and The Hardys had their first encounter during this year’s Double or Nothing event, where The Gunns were unsuccessful in defeating them. However, in a tag team match held in June, the second-generation stars emerged victorious. Will tonight’s Dynamite show feature another showdown between The Gunns and The Hardys? Fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
