In the weeks leading up to Punk’s AEW comeback on the first episode of “Collision,” various rumors and stories circulated regarding potential feuds for the former AEW World Champion. Following rumors of a prospective feud with Chris Jericho, it was believed that Punk had sought to work with his former ROH opponent Joe. Furthermore, it was rumored that Punk wanted to collaborate with “Switchblade” Jay White, which happened in the primary events of the first two episodes of “Collision.”
After tonight’s “Collision,” the second men’s semi-final match of the competition is also set, with Powerhouse Hobbs defeating “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Starks defeating “Rock Hard” Juice Robinson. Hobbs and Starks will also face off but in a far more recent rivalry.
