Richard Holliday, who used to be a star in MLW, was backstage at last night’s AEW Collision. According to Fightful Select, Holliday was at Hartford’s XL Center for Collision. He lives nearby, but he was not shown on-screen at any time.
Holliday has worked with AEW World Champion MJF before. He was part of the Dynasty with the Salt of the Earth and Alex Hammerstone for a while in Major League Wrestling, and he even held the company’s Tag Team Titles with Max. Even after MJF left MLW and went to AEW, Holliday, and Hammerstone still worked together on MLW programs, like when Holliday challenged Hammer for the MLW World Championship.
Richard Holliday was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma outside of the ring in September of last year. The incredibly skilled star is now in remission and returned to the ring on the indie scene last month. In April, Holliday also said that he was now a free agent.
It was said earlier this year that WWE was considering hiring Holliday, so the 30-year-old could have more than one choice for his professional wrestling career.
