The hot new tag combo of Adam Cole and AEW World Champion MJF is dominating pro wrestling. That much was clear on Tuesday night’s (July 12) edition of Dynamite, when MJF whipped the audience into a frenzy with his amazing body smash on Big Bill.
MJF celebrated his big occasion with the following tweet earlier today:
Hulk Hogan’s bodyslam on Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 in the Pontiac Silverdome is one of the most memorable moments in pro wrestling history. Hogan has now embellished the scene by boosting Andre’s weight, the number of spectators in attendance, and the number of muscles he tore while completing the feat. It’s one of the reasons why so many wrestling fans roll their eyes whenever Hogan makes an outrageous assertion.
MJF is well aware of Hogan’s act and reputation, and he isn’t afraid to parody it with the following tweet, brother.
MJF was reserved during his “Hey! (EW)” interview with RJ City“. The AEW World Champion was only there for a few minutes before exiting the conversation. He did, however, guarantee that his performance will go down in history as one of the show’s more memorable moments by burning a sign.
Despite not having much to say, MJF explained that he agreed to the interview so that people might learn more about the guy behind the persona. He added that he only abuses individuals when working and that he admires City’s work.
Throughout their brief talk, City tried to provoke the champ into criticizing him, but MJF stayed nice for the most part – at least until he torched the sign and went away.
