Lance Storm answered Russo’s complaints about current professional wrestling from his job as an Impact Wrestling director. Storm explained why he said what he did by saying that WWE’s current storyline about The Bloodline, in which Jimmy and Jey Uso have turned babyface against Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and manager Paul Heyman, is the opposite of what Russo said about modern wrestling.

Storm took to Twitter to say:

He’s a complete moron. The Bloodline is a classic character driven story and it’s the best one since who even knows when. The fact that he states the “fake match” but not fake character or fake story shows his contempt for wrestling.

On The Insight Podcast, what did Vince Russo say?

Vince Russo talked about how he doesn’t like professional wrestling on the July 18 episode of Chris Van Vliet’s show, Insight. Russo said that the fights get too much attention and the people and stories don’t get enough.

Russo says that putting too much emphasis on what happens in the ring doesn’t interest regular wrestling fans. He said, “Wrestling matches don’t attract the casual fan.” Russo talked about AEW on his show and said, “Watching AEW was a huge waste of my time.” He also said that he had stopped watching AEW after a year and a half.
