NJPW and AEW came together for the first time to have a joint pay-per-view named Forbidden Door. There were a lot of talents on display as the superstars brought the house down in what was a great show. The surprise of the night was when Claudio Castagnoli formerly known as Cesaro in the WWE came out as the replacement for Bryan Danielson in his match against Zack Sabre Jr. Castagnoli came out to what was probably the loudest cheer of the night from the fans.

The match started with Castagnoli hitting Zack Sabre Jr with an uppercut and immediately followed it up with a Neutralizer. The two in-ring technicians put on a spectacle and had a great match which the fans were clearly hyped for. After a lot of near falls and close finishes, Claudio hit a powerbomb on Zack and took the win on his AEW debut.
