Paige VanZant has spoken out about her professional wrestling debut, which she made over the weekend. VanZant made her pay-per-view (PPV) debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at their Double or Nothing event this past weekend. VanZant defeated Sammy Guevara, Frankie Kazarian, and Tay Conti with the help of Men of the Year. VanZant met with The Schmo shortly after the show to hear her response to her first ever match. VanZant feels she put up a strong performance, demonstrating that she was born to wrestle professionally. VanZant said, “I’m feeling great. I went out there, we got the win, I feel like I put on an impressive performance and showed everybody I’m meant to be a pro wrestler too.”

Paige VanZant thinks there is still room for improvement

VanZant agreed there’s always room for growth when asked to give herself a grade, but she feels her performance demonstrated how fast she can remember things within the ring. She said, “I never give myself a perfect grade. There’s always room for improvement. I’m only going to get better, I just started training pro wrestling. But you guys can see how quickly I picked up pro wrestling moves and I showed all the girls in the division, they got somebody to look out for.”

Since leaving the UFC, Paige VanZant has accomplished a lot. VanZant has competed in mixed martial arts (MMA), as well as Dancing With The Stars, bare-knuckle boxing, professional wrestling, and a variety of other sports. The newest addition to the AEW roster claims she has no plans to specialise in any one lane since she likes being successful at everything she does. She said, “It feels amazing. Everybody keeps asking me when I’m going to ‘pick a lane.’ I don’t have to, I’m going to be good at absolutely everything I do. And I got my new bare-knuckle boxing match coming up in London on July 16.”

When asked when we should expect VanZant to return to the squared circle, she indicated she’s ready to compete as soon as possible because she didn’t sustain any severe injuries during her fight. She continued, “I hope soon. I came out of this match unscathed, I have zero injuries, I put on a dominant performance, I can’t wait for my solo match.”
