In the aftermath of the Forbidden Door being opened, Bryan Danielson found himself grappling with the unfortunate setback of a broken arm following his triumphant main event clash against the esteemed Kazuchika Okada. Initially, the American Dragon held the belief that this injury would merely keep him out of action for a modest span of eight weeks. However, during the post-PPV media scrum, Danielson couldn’t resist taking a few jabs at his legendary Ring of Honor adversary, Nigel McGuinness.

McGuinness, a seasoned veteran of the squared circle, gracefully hung up his boots over a decade ago. Since then, his undying passion for the business has led him to embark on a new venture, lending his unparalleled expertise to the world of commentary.

Presently, he finds himself in the prestigious position of calling the exhilarating action of AEW Collision, captivating audiences with his insightful analysis and captivating voice. In a stunning turn of events, we have witnessed the miraculous return of several individuals who, quite frankly, seemed destined to never grace the squared circle again.

And among this illustrious list of prodigal sons, one name stands out in particular – none other than the enigmatic Danielson. In a recent installment of the highly acclaimed AEW Unrestricted podcast, the esteemed Nigel graced the airwaves with his presence, revealing a truly remarkable revelation. Nigel, in a display of sheer resilience and fortitude, declared himself fit as a fiddle, ready to step back into the squared circle for the first time in a decade, since the year 2011.

In a scintillating display of verbal jousting, he retaliated with a barrage of verbal salvos directed squarely at Bryan.

“The truth of the matter is, the only way I was going to come out of retirement was for a match against Bryan Danielson at Wembley Stadium. It was going to take something like that for me to come out of retirement, because I really value my job doing announcing and there are so many other guys on the card that are so much better than me and deserve those spots, but in the right situation, I’d be crazy to not be open to that possibility.

“Now, [Danielson] has gone and broken his arm. Let’s be honest. We all saw the x-rays, and one of those bones was perfectly okay. I don’t know how many bones are in the human body. He’s got all of them apart from one, does he really need time off? He’s sitting at home, taking a paycheck, digging those clams out of the sand. He could be in there wrestling me. To be perfectly honest, he’s probably a bit scared.”
