In the previous edition (2021), Russia, USA, and Iran finished as the best teams, with nine, seven, and six golds. Japan, the team which topped in 2019, didn’t take part in the 2021 edition. After putting a dominant performance on the stage of the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Wrestling, Indian junior wrestlers will hope to follow in the footsteps of the seniors at the World Junior Wrestling Championships 2022. While 10 members from each Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle will be seen in action. India will look to better its previous edition performance when it finished 11th by obtaining 11 medals.
