The African Wrestling Championship 2023 will take place in Hammamet from May 15 to May 20. 500 wrestlers are expected to participate in this Wrestling Championship held in Tunisian city, according to the organizers. 20 different nations will send their wrestler to compete. Additionally, 25 judges will be present for the 38th edition’s Wrestling Championship. Before the 2023 African Senior Wrestling Championships in Tunisia, wrestlers from Nigeria have expressed optimism about a successful showing after hiring United World Wrestling trainer Angel Pineda from Cuba.

The wrestlers assured while camping in Yenagoa, the capital of the Bayelsa State, in advance of the African events. Solomon Olabo, who will be competing for the first time, believes he is in excellent shape to perform well at the upcoming African championships in Tunisia. He asserts that working with United World Wrestling trainer Angel Pineda has improved his abilities and he intends to benefit from his guidance.
