Twitter has erupted as UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill and former Bellator title contender Corey Anderson engage in a high-stakes cross-promotion rivalry, battling it out on social media to determine who boasts the superior MMA resume.

The sparks flew when Corey Anderson made a bold claim, suggesting that he and Bellator’s heavyweight champion, Vadim Nemkov, possessed more talent than the UFC’s light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. This remark didn’t go unnoticed by Jamahal Hill, who addressed the matter on his official YouTube channel.

Once the video was released, a Twitter user tagged ‘Overtime,’ leading to Anderson launching a direct attack on Hill in response. The social media feud between the two fighters intensified from that point onwards.

In his initial remarks, Anderson wasted no time in highlighting Hill’s defeat to Paul Craig in June 2021. The bout concluded with ‘Sweet Dreams’ succumbing to a TKO after sustaining an early shoulder dislocation. Additionally, the accomplished Bellator fighter emphasized that his victory over former champion Glover Teixeira outshined Hill’s achievement.

“Old sweet booty. Jamahal Hill in his feelings. Talk about MMA math. Didn’t you get your arm snapped by Paul Craig? So that’d make him the best. I toasted the 44-year-old guy you beat (Glover Teixeira) to win the belt on 2-week notice when he was ranked #3. Other than that who (did) you beat? Nobody!” Corey Anderson tweeted.

In his initial response to Anderson’s taunts, Hill pointed out a significant knockout defeat that the Bellator sensation endured against Ovince Saint Preux back in November 2017. Meanwhile, the UFC champion proudly highlighted their own accomplishment of delivering a knockout blow to ‘OSP’ when they crossed paths in December 2020.

“Bro, you got slept by OSP (Ovince Saint Preux) and you see what I did to him! You can’t cut it at the top and you are struggling in the B league. I lost one fight in my life due to injury, you took naps. We (are) not the same! My resume will always read champion and at the end of the day I will beat your ass. Period,” Hill wrote in a tweet.

Jamahal Hill (12-1-1 NC) emerged as the new UFC light heavyweight champion by triumphing over Glover Teixeira in January this year. This monumental victory propelled the 32-year-old athlete to an impressive four-fight winning streak, including notable triumphs against Thiago Santos, Johnny Walker, and Jimmy Crute. Prior to his remarkable achievements, ‘Sweet Dreams’ experienced his most recent setback in the aforementioned bout against Paul Craig in 2020.

On the other hand, Corey Anderson (17-6-1 NC) secured a victory in his most recent outing. He recently triumphed over another seasoned UFC veteran and former Bellator champion, Phil Davis, by means of a split decision at Bellator 297.
