The Octagon returned to Tennessee for an action-packed UFC Nashville event that left fight fans on the edge of their seats. Headlined by the highly anticipated catchweight bout between Cory Sandhagen and Rob Font. The event showcased a mix of thrilling fights, impressive performances, and unforgettable moments.

Cory Sandhagen showcased his grappling prowess as he dominated Rob Font on the canvas for the majority of their twenty-five-minute affair. While the fight may not have been the firefight that some fans were hoping for, it was a strong showing for “The Sandman.” Sandhagen’s strategic approach earned him the unanimous decision victory. Reaffirming his position as a top contender in the bantamweight division.

The co-main event featured a key women’s strawweight bout between former champion Jessica Andrade and streaking contender Tatiana Suarez. Suarez is still an undefeated fighter. She wasted no time in asserting her dominance. In round two, she caught Andrade in a tight guillotine choke forcing the former champion to tap out and securing a second-round submission victory. This impressive performance earned Suarez the well-deserved “Performance of the Night” bonus.

Following the conclusion of the event, UFC officials announced at the post-fight press conference that five fighters would be taking home performance bonuses for their standout performances in the Octagon. These bonuses, each worth $50,000, serve as a recognition of the fighters’ hard work, skill, and determination.

Diego Lopes received a “Performance of the Night” bonus for his first-round submission victory over Gavin Tucker. Lopes wasted no time in showcasing his skills, finishing the fight in impressive fashion.

Carlston Harris earned his bonus for a remarkable third-round submission victory over Jeremiah Wells. Despite facing a tough opponent, Harris showcased his resilience and skill, securing the win and earning the performance bonus.

Dustin Jacoby’s first-round TKO victory over Kennedy Nzechukwu was another standout moment of the night. Jacoby’s striking prowess was on full display as he secured the victory and the well-deserved bonus.

Assu Almabaev rounded out the list of bonus recipients with his second-round submission victory over Ode Osbourne. Almabaev’s grappling skills were on display as he secured the impressive win.

While all the performance bonuses were well-deserved. They also reflect the competitive and high-level talent that was on display at UFC Nashville. The event featured a mix of rising stars and seasoned veterans each striving to make their mark in the Octagon.
