Francis Ngannou might finally be getting what he wants

As part of his agreement with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) earlier this year, Francis Ngannou had reportedly secured the provision to compete in boxing matches alongside his MMA career. Now, it seems that “The Predator” has successfully realized his aspiration, as the opportunity to step into the boxing ring has materialized.

Renowned MMA journalist Ariel Helwani recently revealed that a deal for a highly anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou was on the verge of being officially announced. Furthermore, prominent boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently commented on the potential matchup, suggesting that it might be arranged as an exhibition bout.

The upcoming heavyweight showdown between Fury and Ngannou has become an absolute must-watch for sports enthusiasts, gaining immense anticipation. While specific details regarding the number of rounds and the fight’s classification as either professional or exhibition remain undisclosed, this highly anticipated bout is poised to captivate countless fans.

Francis Ngannou recently praised UFC’s Stipe Miocic

Francis Ngannou asserts that if a fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic were to take place, it would be far from an easy victory for Jones. Ngannou believes that Miocic, the firefighter hailing from Ohio, remains the most formidable challenge in the division, even surpassing the current champion.

“It’s gonna be tough for Jones. I think we all don’t give the credit that is due to Stipe. Stipe is not having enough credit. For me, he’s still the guy at heavyweight. He’s still the most challenging guy in the heavyweight division,” Ngannou told TMZ.

Ngannou and Miocic have engaged in two memorable encounters, each emerging victorious once. In their initial clash at UFC 226 in 2018, Miocic secured the win via unanimous decision. Their paths crossed again at UFC 260 in 2021, where Ngannou delivered a decisive second-round knockout, paving the way for his triumphant victory.
