Undisputed Cage Warriors welterweight champion, Rhys McKee, is reportedly gearing up for his second debut under the UFC banner. He is scheduled to face Ange Loosa at an upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Paris, France, on September 2 at the Accor Arena.

McKee, who previously competed in two fights under the UFC, made his debut on short notice in the summer of 2020. Unfortunately, he suffered a first-round TKO loss due to ground strikes against the current fourth-ranked contender, Khamzat Chimaev.

Returning to the Octagon in November of the same year at the UFC Apex facility, McKee faced veteran fighter Alex Morono but fell short in a closely contested decision, resulting in his departure from the organization in the welterweight division.

Rhys McKee impresses with three consecutive victories in cage warriors return

Upon returning to Graham Boylan-led Cage Warriors after his two UFC fights, McKee went on to secure three consecutive victories. He defeated Aleksi Mantykivi and Justin Burlinson via three-round strikes, followed by a corner stoppage win over UFC veteran Jim Wallhead at the 3Arena in Dublin in April.

Alex Behunin recently reported that Rhys McKee is slated for his second stint in the Octagon. He will face Ange Loosa at UFC Fight Night Paris, which marks the UFC’s return to France in September.

Loosa, a Swiss striker with a professional record of 9-3, previously suffered a loss to Jack Della Maddalena on Dana White’s Contender Series. He holds a 1-1 record in the UFC, with a debut loss to Mounir Lazzez followed by a unanimous decision victory over A.J. Fletcher in August of last year at UFC 278.

The Accor Arena in Paris, France, will host UFC Fight Night Paris on September 2, featuring a headline bout between former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane and grappling talent Sergei Spivak.
