Tate was set to meet Lauren Murphy in a flyweight fight at UFC on ESPN 36 on May 14, 2022. However, the fight was rescheduled for UFC 276 for unclear reasons. Murphy, on the other hand, withdrew a week before the tournament after testing positive for COVID-19. The fight was later rescheduled to take place on July 16, 2022, at UFC on ABC 3. Tate was defeated by a unanimous decision.
Tate was set to meet Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC on ESPN 46 on June 3, 2023. On May 10, it was revealed that Tate had sustained an unspecified injury and that Bueno Silva would instead headline UFC Fight Night 224 versus Holly Holm.
