Arman Tsarukyan has called out Michael Chandler, declaring that Chandler’s highly anticipated showdown with Conor McGregor is bound for failure. The 26-year-old Tsarukyan showcased his skills in the octagon by delivering a knockout blow to Joaquim Silva in his recent UFC victory.

Tsarukyan is determined to take on a prominent lightweight contender for his next fight. Tsarukyan believes that McGregor will back out of his scheduled bout with Chandler later this year due to the scarcity of online training videos, and he aims to step in as McGregor’s replacement to challenge Chandler himself.

“If you want to ask me, for sure I want to fight with Michael Chandler because it looks like his fight with Conor McGregor is over. He’s got to fight with someone and I am here. I have a good win streak and let’s do this fight because I’m the youngest guy in the top 15. He’s the older one. I think for fans it’s good when new generation fights with the older generation.”

Will Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler’s fight be canceled

Despite failing to re-enroll in USADA’s testing pool, which requires six months of obligatory drug testing before competing, McGregor has asserted his intention to face Chandler by the year’s end. Presently, the Irishman is under scrutiny by the Miami Police Department for an alleged incident of sexual assault, an accusation he refutes.

Tsarukyan believes McGregor’s current indulgence in a lavish lifestyle has distanced him significantly from the formidable fighter he once was. Tsarukyan emphasized McGregor’s leisurely pursuits, such as unwinding aboard his yacht and indulging in libations, alongside his beach escapades. In contrast, Tsarukyan paints a picture of his own relentless dedication, asserting that he lives and breathes training, spending an arduous amount of time in the gym.

Michael Chandler Always Wanted To Fight Conor McGregor

Ever since his UFC debut more than two years ago, the ex-Bellator MMA champion, Chandler, has persistently asked for a showdown with McGregor. Dismissing speculations that their long-awaited clash might not materialize, Chandler confidently debunked various theories surrounding the situation. Speaking candidly to Barstool Sports, he addressed topics such as USADA testing, McGregor’s leg injury, and the Irishman’s renowned partying lifestyle.

“Ultimately, I’ve been in contact with the UFC, Hunter Campbell and Dana White. Both personally. The fight is happening. We don’t, they don’t even have certain big pay-per-views necessarily announced yet. So if you expect our fight maybe November, December, or whatever it may be to be announced already. I think it’s a tough ask right now. We’re still sitting in June.”
