Israel Adesanya, the two-time and current undisputed middleweight champion, has left an indelible mark on the UFC and is hailed by fellow fighters as the best champion the promotion has ever seen. The City Kickboxing standout’s reign as middleweight kingpin has been nothing short of extraordinary, earning him praise and admiration from his peers.

Since his last appearance in the Octagon in April, where he secured a stunning second-round knockout victory over arch-rival Alex Pereira in their title rematch in Miami, Adesanya has held the division’s top spot. This triumph marked the beginning of his second championship run under the UFC banner, following a brief hiatus after relinquishing the middleweight throne to Brazilian knockout artist Pereira in November of the previous year at UFC 281 in Madison Square Garden.

He applauds Adesanya’s consistency and the frequency with which he has defended his title. The level of competition Adesanya has faced is considered legendary, making it difficult for others to compare.

Israel Adesanya’s next Octagon appearance has not been confirmed yet, but the promotion has slated him to headline UFC 293 in September during their return to Sydney, Australia. The potential opponents for Adesanya include the number one-ranked Dricus du Plessis, in a potential grudge match, or a title showcase against the streaking Sean Strickland ‘Down Under’.
