Martin revealed that the purse for the bout will surpass the cumulative earnings from Ngannou’s entire UFC career. In fact, he emphasized that the difference in earnings is significant, indicating that the boxing match presents a unique financial opportunity for Ngannou.
“Oh my god, I mean. By far,” Marquel Martin said when querried if the fight will be Ngannou’s highest-paid bout. “By far, by multiples. He would’ve had to fight, I don’t want to break a story, but.”
“I’ll just say, even while being champion, he would’ve had to fight multiple times just to [be in this ballpark]. Yeah, oh yeah [this is more than what the UFC offered in January],” he added.
