Jones and Edwards shine with dual nominations in different categories at the ESPY Awards. Alongside their nomination for Best MMA Fighter, Jones secures a spot in the prestigious Best Comeback Athlete category, while Edwards impresses with a nomination for Best Championship Performance.

UFC 285 witnessed the triumphant return of Jones, who emerged from a three-year hiatus with a resounding victory. Her remarkable career, transcending gender distinctions, solidified her status as an iconic figure in combat sports.
In a swift and dominant display of skill, Makhachev claimed the lightweight championship by defeating Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 in October. Maintaining his momentum, he successfully defended his title in a captivating matchup against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in February.
The prestigious ESPY awards show, which originated in 1993, is set to take place on July 12 in Los Angeles.
