Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, may have a chance to fight Derek Chisora on the same event night as Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk. Ngannou, who transitioned to boxing earlier this year, expressed his desire to face Joshua, Wilder, and Fury.

Now, there are talks underway for Ngannou to potentially share the card with these heavyweight giants as Eddie Hearn revealed the discussions for a Ngannou vs Chisora bout in December.

“There are rumours for a third fight for that night in December which could be Ngannou against Chisora,” Hearn said on The MMA Hour. “I actually quite like that fight because I don’t see Francis being competitive against Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua, but more competitive against Chisora.”

Saudi Arabia could be the venue for the fight

Saudi Arabia is emerging as the leading contender to host the highly anticipated heavyweight event, with Skills Challenge Promotions making significant moves by adding Oleksandr Usyk to their roster.

The promotional company is reportedly preparing a lucrative proposal for Tyson Fury, aiming to arrange the long-awaited undisputed fight. Meanwhile, both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have confirmed receiving offers, signaling the potential for record-breaking paydays for the fighters involved.

Having recently joined the Professional Fighters League (PFL), Francis Ngannou is gearing up to make his debut in the organization’s highly anticipated pay-per-view super-fight division in the coming year.

Francis Ngannou wants to compete in boxing

Ngannou, hailing from Cameroon, has expressed his desire to compete in boxing before returning to the MMA cage.

“What Francis wants to do is land a massive payday,” Hearn added. “The only difference in the heavyweight world is Francis can really punch. Listen, if he lands one on Fury, if he lands one on AJ, or lands one on Chisora, he can win the fight. You need a site fee for a fight like that. I don’t know what Francis wants, but you’re talking about tens of millions of dollars for those fights, and it may just not be there.”

While Francis Ngannou’s presence in the combat sports world has garnered attention, Anthony Joshua expressed disinterest in a matchup with him, focusing instead on his quest to become a three-time world champion. On the other hand, Tyson Fury extended a welcoming gesture to Ngannou following his knockout victory over Dillian Whyte, teasing the possibility of a crossover fight. Deontay Wilder expressed openness to a two-fight deal with Ngannou, encompassing bouts in both MMA and boxing.
