The 2019 World Championship bronze medallist, B. Sai Praneeth has decided to retire from badminton, announcing his decision via social media.
Misha Zilberman defeated Sai Praneeth 21-17, 21-15 in the Group D match at the Musashino Forest Plaza Court 2.
The badminton events in the Olympics will begin on July 24 with the group stages, while the medal matches are to be held the week after.
World No. 13 shuttler B. Sai Praneeth has decided to pull out of the Singapore Open 2021 scheduled to begin on June 1.
