Laila Rouass, born in Laila Abdesselam on May 22, 1971, in Stepney, London, is a British actress known for her numerous roles on television. She started out her career as a VJ on Channel V in India at some point in the 1990s, where she gained early publicity and appeared in a track video for the band Colour Blind. After returning to the UK, Rouass rose to prominence along with her portrayal of Amber Gates, a Bollywood actress, in the famous ITV1 series Footballers’ Wives from 2004 to 2006. She also made quick appearances in the spin-off collection Footballers’ Wives: Extra Time.
In addition to her tremendous function in Footballers’ Wives, Rouass has been regarded in numerous television shows in the course of her career. She had routine roles on British soaps consisting of Family Affairs and Hollyoaks. Rouass showcased her versatility by performing in episodes of I Dream, Casualty, and Meet the Magoons.
