The latest episode of WWE’s flagship show WWE Raw emenated from the ThunderDome at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida on April 27 (Tuesday). The show featured more build to the next pay-per-view event, WrestleMania Backlash. The return of WWE champion Bobby Lashley had been adverstised in advance. The ‘All Mighty’ not only returned to the show, but also saw a new challenger added to his next PPV match. The other major storyline advancement came from Charlotte Flair. The second-generation superstar was suspended indefinitely after assaulting a referee. However, her suspension was duly lifted this week and it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Overall analysis: WWE Raw has felt flat since well before WrestleMania and not much has changed. The show has lacked top-notch feuds and hence, a lot of the storylines currently feel stale. Some recycling of stories was expected, since the upcoming PPV is titled ‘Backlash’. However, one gets the feeling the show needs a few fresh stories to liven things up.
