The World Surfing League Finals is a one-day battle for the championship’s world title in 2022. The event will take place in Lower Trestles, California, from September 8 to September 16. This is the tour’s final penultimate stop and the second to take place on the mainland of the United States. One of the highest performance waves in North America is Lower Trestles, the location for the WSL Finals. Rip Curl has signed a three-year agreement to host the Finals of a new one-day event in 2022 that will determine the men’s and women’s World Surfing Champions. The best five surfers, both male and female will then have the opportunity to compete and win the global title. 54 athletes (36 men and 18 women) competed in 10 regular-season competitions over the year to reach the top five.

The World Surf League is the 45th season of the professional surfing tour circuit. The Billabong Pipe Masters was the opening round of the tour. The tour began on January 29 and will end on September 16. The defending champions in the men’s and women’s categories are Gabriel Medina and Carissa Moore. The venues for the competition were Hawaii, Portugal, Australia, Indonesia, El Salvador, Brazil, South Africa, France, and the United States.
