The World Squash Federation (WSF) closely co-ordinates the squash global calendar with the Player Association, The Professional Squash Association (PSA).
The World Squash Federation (WSF) is the global governing body for squash, a sport played with indoor rackets that was once known as “squash rackets”. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognizes the WSF as the International Federation for squash. The WSF is also a member of the Association of the IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) and Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF). The organization is based in Hastings in England.
Formerly known as the International Squash Rackets Federation (ISRF) till 1992, the organization was formed in 1967.The world’s first squash court was built in England in 1865. Today, over 50,000 courts can be found across more than 185 countries. The motto behind the formation of the federation was to harness this growth and to promote and co-ordinate the sport.
The WSF has 122 Members, all of which are National Associations of squash. They are known as the exclusive and undisputed governing body for the sport in their respective countries by the National Olympic Committee (NOC). The WSF closely co-ordinates the squash global calendar with the Player Association, The Professional Squash Association (PSA).
