The World Judo Championships 2022 which kicked off on October 6 marked its conclusion on October 13, 2022. Team Japan showed their dominance once again in the 2022 edition winning 13 medals to become the overall winner (6 Gold, 4 Silver, 3 Bronze). Brazil and host country Uzbekistan secured the third positions respectively. With this, the Japanese maintained their perfect winning streak in the competition, having taken first place since the tournament’s debut in 2017.
