Over 490 cadet judokas will take part in the World Judo Cadets Championships 2022 to be held in Sarajevo.

The World Judo Cadets Championships 2022 will be held from August 24 to 28, 2022, at the Arena Hotel Hills in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over 490 cadet judokas will compete from 61 different nations. The mixed team competition will take place on the final day of the event. The champions of the solo competition will receive 80,000€, while the winners of the team competition will earn 20,000€. The gold medallist in individual event will get an amount of 2,300€. Out of which the judoka will earn 1,840€ and the rest 460€ will be collected by the coach.
With four gold, three silver, and four bronze medals, Japan collected the most number of medals in the past competition (2019) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Turkey (4) placed second with two gold medals, and Russia (7) finished third with one gold medal, two silver medals, and four bronze medals.
