The World Archery Field Championships 2022 is slated to take place on October 3 to October 9, 2022, in Yankton city in the United States of America. This competition will also be the first event that will calculate an archer’s ranking as a fresh calculation system comes into effect from October. Each archer’s position in the list will be calculated using up to four outdoor results, two indoor results, and one field result, with events on the Indoor Archery Global Series, world and continental field championships, and field events at the World Games now giving world ranking points. This change will only impact the able-bodied archers in four disciplines: recurve men, recurve women, compound men and compound women.

The World Field Archery Championships is an international field archery competition organized by World Archery.. The  Championships are held every two years, usually in host cities in Europe, but occasionally in Australia or North America as well. The competition’s previous iteration was held in Cortina, Italy, in 2018. The championship was earlier scheduled to take place in 2020, but got rescheduled in 2022 as a result of Covid-19 pandemic. In 2018, Wataru Oonuki of Japan and Germany’s Lisa Unruh emerged as the winners in recurve archery. While World no.1 Mike Schloesser of the Netherlands and Paige Pearce of the USA won the compound events.
