India’s Olympics action on August 6 is scheduled to start as early as 2 am in Indian time. There are a lot of events to look forward to on the day, especially the bronze medal of the women’s hockey side. Fans will be hoping that they too can achieve what the men’s hockey team did on Thursday. The focus will also be on golfer Aditi Ashok who has displayed consistent performances in the past couple of days in the women’s individual stroke play event. She is currently tied in second place in the event with three more rounds to play. Wrestler Bajrang Punia is also one of the athletes that will draw a lot of attention on the day. He will participate in the men’s 65kg freestyle event.

Apart from the aforementioned events, India will also be in action in quite a few athletics events. Gurpreet Singh will be the first Indian in action in the men’s 50km race walk final. The women’s 20km race walk final will see the likes of Priyanka Goswami and Bhawna Jat. There will also be a stern test for the male sprinters in the men’s 4x400m relay event. The Indian athletes participating in the event are Amoj Jacob, Arokia Rajiv, Nagathan Pandi, Nirmal Tom Noah, and Anas Muhammed Yahiya. The Indian team had disappointed in the mixed relay event earlier in the tournament, and this can be their chance to make a few amends.
