A smiling Tiger Woods pictured for the first time on crutches after his terrifying car crash in Southern California few months ago. In the picture posted on his Instagram account, Woods was also with a cast on his lower right leg and foot. He appeared to be alongside his dog in the picture, taken in his home practice facility in Jupiter, Florida. With no timeframe on his recovery announced, this photo of Woods moving around is a promising sign for his fans.

Sharing the picture, Woods, 45, informed that work was progressing faster upon his backyard practice course than his recovery. “My course is coming along faster than I am,” Woods wrote. “But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend.” It is the first image since he suffered serious right leg injuries in the crash in February near Los Angeles.

Back in February, police found Woods was driving nearly twice the legal speed limit when his SUV crashed along the side of the road. He underwent hours of surgery to repair a shattered lower right leg and ankle before returning to his Florida home weeks later.

The 15-time major winner has not released any statement about his return to action. The 45-year-old has won 82 US PGA Tour titles, level with Sam Snead for the all-time record. Before the crash, he was working to overcome a back operation.
