The Asian Shooting Championships 2023 is all set to be held from October 22 to November 2, 2023, in Changwon, Republic of Korea. The 15th Continental championship is about to kick off, with 24 coveted spots for the Paris 2024 Olympics at stake. For the first time, the action will take place at the Changwon International Shooting Range, which previously served as the venue for the ISSF World Championship in 2018. The event will see participation from an impressive 1,317 competitors, representing 32 countries from Asia.
Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Swapnil Kusale, Bhowneesh Mendiratta, Akhil Sheoran, Mehuli Ghosh, Sift Kaur Samra, and Rajeshwari Kumari have already secured quota places for India in different events and hence, will only be competing for the podium places. Meanwhile, in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event, India has already grabbed the maximum two quota places per National Olympic Committee (NOC). As a result, India can’t collect another quota in this event. The likes of multiple Asian Games 2022 medalist Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Manu Bhaker, and Anantjeet Singh Naruka will also be in action at the Asian Shooting Championships 2023.
The LIVE Streaming of the Asian Shooting Championships 2023 will be available on the Olympic channel via Olympics.com, which only includes the final matches. It will also be telecast on the YouTube channel of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
