The game between the Winnipeg Jets and St Louis Blues will take place at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Canada on Monday, October 24 at 8:00 PM ET.
The Winnipeg Jets will welcome the St Louis Blues to Canada Life Centre for an NHL game on Monday. Winnipeg lost their last game 4-1 to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Pierre-Luc Dubois had four shots on goal and was the only player to score a goal for the Jets. Despite best efforts from Blake Wheeler and Mason Appleton, who had three shots on goal, Winnipeg were just not able to score and ended up losing the game.
Rick Bowness, head coach of the Jets spoke after the game and lamented the lack of luck as his team hit the goalposts a couple of times. Speaking after the loss, Bowness said, “The difference in the game was clearly specialty teams. We hit a couple of goalposts. And theirs went in.”
The St Louis Blues on the other hand recorded a 2-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers in their last game. Goals from Justin Faulk and Torey Krug were sufficient for the Blues to get the win as goaltender Jordan Binnington was in inspired form as he stopped all the 23 shots he was faced with and finished the game with a 1.000 save percentage.
After the game, Torey Krug spoke to the press and said, “Whenever we have No. 50 in the pipes there is always a chance at that, but we had a great game plan, attention to detail. We got one early and we were able to shut out their time and space and our guys did a great job.”
