The Vegas Golden Knights will take on the San Jose Sharks at the T-Mobile Arena in the NHL on Tuesday. Vegas comes into this game on the back of a 3-2 loss to the St Louis Blues. Phil Kessel and Reilly Smith scored the two goals for the Knights as they were defeated for only the third time this season.
Mark Stone of the Golden Knights spoke after the game and said, “We probably didn’t deserve to win anyway, so back to the drawing board and try to start another streak. “We were all flat. I think we were expecting to be flat.”
The San Jose Sharks on the other hand defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in their last game. Goals from Steven Lorentz, Nico Sturm were enough as the game went into overtime and then a shootout. Alexander Barabanov scored the deciding goal in the shootout and helped the Sharks get the win.
Sharks coach David Quinn said after the game, “We could have easily got really down and packed it in after we went down 2-0 and we didn’t. We kept coming. I know they probably don’t love the second goal, but we don’t love their second goal either. We really competed and that was a nutsy win.”
