The Toronto Maple Leafs will welcome the Boston Bruins to the Scotiabank Arena for an NHL game on Saturday. Toronto beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2 in their last game. John Tavares scored a hattrick while Auston Matthews and Zach Aston-Reese scored one goal each as the Maple Leafs ran out comfortable winners.

After the game, hattrick hero Tavares spoke and said, “Whether it’s myself or some of some of our other core guys to be difference-makers. No question you want to come out and have a strong game today. “It’s been a little while. Any time you have nights like this it’s a team effort.”

The Boston Bruins on the other hand defeated the New York Rangers 5-2 in their last game. Goals from Hampus Lindholm, Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk, Trent Frederic and David Pastrňák were enough as the Bruins swept aside the Rangers with ease.

Boston head coach Jim Montgomery said after the game, “I thought everybody contributed and helped us tonight. The Rangers are a really good hockey team and we kept them to the outside. I thought it was our best checking game. We took away time and space. We showed great poise.”
