The Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Edmonton Oilers at the Amalie Arena in the NHL on Tuesday. The Lightning won their last game 5-3 over the Buffalo Sabres. Goals from Nikita Kucherov, Brandon Hagel, Brayden Point, Nick Paul and Nick Perbix were enough as Tampa Bay brushed aside the Sabres.

Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper was full of praise for Nikita Kucherov as he scored one goal and had three assists. “I think Kuch has been phenomenal this year,” Cooper said. “He scored big goals for us, he’s checking, he’s doing everything we need him to do. I just think his growth over the years has been amazing. He keeps taking steps every year. The one thing about Kuch, he demands a ton from himself.”

The Edmonton Oilers on the other hand were narrowly beaten by the Washington Capitals 5-4 in their last game. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored two goals while Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid scored one goal each as the Oilers fell agonizingly close by just one goal.

Oilers Zach Hyman lamented the fact that they conceded four power play goals and said, “Four power-play goals. Can’t win with that. Can’t win taking penalties.”
