Jared McCann was the only Seattle player to score a goal as they lost just their sixth game of the season. It was a bad day at the office for goaltender Philipp Grubauer as he let in five goals and finished the game with a save percentage of .821.
The Montreal Canadiens on the other hand lost their last game in overtime as they were beaten 7-6 by the Vancouver Canucks. Goals from Nick Suzuki, Josh Anderson, Cole Caufield, Christian Dvorak, Sean Monahan and Michael Pezzetta were not enough as the Canadiens lost their 11th game of the season.
