The San Jose Sharks will take on Nashville Predators at O2 Arena (Prague) in the NHL game on October 7. The San Jose Sharks experienced a few disappointing seasons, but they are hopeful that a new general manager and coach can turn things around. Formerly the 13th overall pick in the NHL draught, David Quinn is now the Sharks’ head coach. Top-tier players like Erik Karlsson, Timo Meier, and Logan Couture are on the Sharks’ roster. If this club is to have any chance of exceeding expectations, all three players will need to have strong seasons. William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau, two talented rookies who will be expected to have huge games, are also available.
Outside of those players, though, there are a lot of unanswered questions and, especially early in the season, there may be some significant growing pains. James Reimer is expected to play goal, and while he occasionally excels, he has also shown signs of inconsistency. The Predators, who also made the playoffs last year but were eliminated early, are on the opposing side of this game. Nashville ended with 97 points, but the Colorado Avalanche swept them. The Predators had a busy offseason, and Ryan McDonagh was the marquee deal. He should significantly improve the defense.

Juuse Saros is a standout goaltender for the Predators. He definitely played too many games last year, but he was so excellent, and there wasn’t a lot of quality behind him. The Sharks have lost eight of their past nine games to the Central. Overall, Nashville has lost all five of its games in a row. In the Sharks’ previous four encounters with the Predators, they are 0-4 overall. In the previous five encounters, the under has gone 4-1.
