The Toronto Maple Leafs will travel to the Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils in the NHL on Wednesday. New Jersey defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 in their last game. Goals from Jesper Bratt, Dawson Mercer, Damon Severson, Yegor Sharangovich and Tomáš Tatar helped the Devils register their 16th win of the season.

Jesper Bratt spoke after the game and said, “It’s awesome winning. So is everything around the rink and being with the guys and playing these important games. That means a lot, and winning is the best thing possible in hockey.”

Toronto on the other hand were beaten 3-2 by the New York Islanders in their last game. Auston Matthews and John Tavares scored the two goals for the Maple Leafs but they were not enough as none of their teammates were able to get past Ilya Sorokin in the New York Net, who finished with a save percentage of .938. Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said after the game, “We played a good hockey game. We deserved better.”
