The match between the New Jersey Devils vs Anaheim Ducks will take place at the Prudential Center on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:00 PM ET.
Both clubs are trying to recover from shaky beginnings to the season as they take on the Anaheim Ducks and the New Jersey Devils. The Devils are 0-2 to start the season, while the Ducks are in the middle of an east coast road trip where they fell to the Islanders 7-1. With youthful and talented lineups, both teams are hoping to make significant progress in their rebuilds this year.
The Ducks scored five goals on opening night, displaying hints of their potential, but have struggled ever since. Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras, who have combined for four goals and two assists, are the offense’s leading scorers, but the rest of the unit has had trouble. Defenseman John Klingberg, who has two assists and was the prize addition in the summer, is hoped to come up and offer a spark to the attack.
The Devils had great expectations going into the season, but they are 0-2 with their attack having only scored four goals. While defenseman Dougie Hamilton and Damon Severson have added two goals and one assist from the blue line, the rest of the offense has struggled. Jesper Bratt, Alexander Holtz, and Miles Wood have combined for two goals and three assists. Jack Hughes and Ondrej Palat, who was added in the summer, are expected to step up as they are essential members of the top two lines but have yet to score a goal this year.
