The match between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Monday, October 17 at 8:30 PM ET.
The Dallas Stars will welcome the Winnipeg Jets to the American Airlines Center for an NHL game on Monday. Dallas won their first two games of the season with the last match ending in a 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators. Two goals from Roope Hintz and one goal each from Jason Robertson, Miro Heiskanen and Mason Marchment helped Dallas win the game comfortably.
Dallas head coach Peter DeBoer spoke to the press after the game and said, “I think when you’re a new coach coming in, you’re throwing a lot of different things at them. It’s not that we don’t have buy-in. I thought we had it right from day one. But it’s nice to reinforce it with wins.”
The Winnipeg Jets won their opening game of the season when they thrashed the New York Rangers 4-1 on Saturday night. Mark Scheifele scored two goals and Kyle Connor and Sam Gagner added one each as Winnipeg opened their account for the season in style.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck had a great game for the Jets as he saved 40 shots and only conceded one goal. After the game, he said, “This team played the right way. It was a great team win tonight, and we needed everyone and we got everyone. It’s a great building step and I think the character in this locker room is just going to continue to show and grow.”
