The game between the Montreal Canadiens and Vegas Golden Knights will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada on Saturday, November 5 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Montreal Canadiens will welcome the Vegas Golden Knights to Bell Centre for an NHL game on Saturday. Montreal lost their last game 3-2 to the Winnipeg Jets as the game went into overtime. Nick Suzuki and Kirby Dach scored the goals for the Canadiens as they lost a thriller.
Canadiens goaltender Sam Montembeault said after the game, “I’m not sure what the rule is on a rebound like that, but the initial shot, everything was fine. But then after the puck was just behind me, I turned around and tried to put my hand on it and Wheeler pushed me like he would have with a D-man. But he pushed me out of my crease and Wheeler had an easy tap-in after that. That should have been goaltender interference.”
The Vegas Golden Knights on the other hand defeated the Ottawa Senators 5-4 in their last game. Goals from Mark Stone, William Carrier, Reilly Smith, Chandler Stephenson and Zach Whitecloud were enough as Vegas saw out the Senators in a close game to register their 10th win of the season.
After the game, Mark Stone said, “We just let them off the hook. I think we just kind of thought the game was over. We started trying to make plays, and if you look at the goals we’re scoring, we’re getting on the forecheck, making them make turnovers, and then we fell into that trap and started doing it to ourselves. You definitely want to learn from it. That was not a perfect game for us by any means.”
