The game between the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils will take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada on Thursday, November 3 at 9:00 PM ET.
The Edmonton Oilers will welcome the New Jersey Devils to Rogers Place for an NHL game on Thursday. Evander Kane scored a hattrick as Edmonton beat the Nashville Predators 7-4 in their last game. Connor McDavid scored two goals while Leon Draisaitl and Derek Ryan scored one goal each as Edmonton ran out comfortable winners.
After the game Leon Draisaitl spoke to the press and said, “It’s been good, obviously that is what we are paid to do, to produce offensively. With that being said, we are here to win a championship and look at the big picture. McDavid and I, we have had our awards and it is nice and we are proud of it, but we want the big prize. It is a good start for us as a group, which is way more important.”
The New Jersey Devils on the other hand made light work of the Vancouver Canucks in their last game as they ran out 5-2 winners. Goals from Jack Hughes, Yegor Sharangovich, Nico Hischier, Michael McLeod and Dawson Mercer were enough to see New Jersey through.
Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood, who finished the game with a save percentage of .913 said, “I think we’ve been doing a good job of capitalizing on our chances as of late and really limiting stuff that the other team was getting in our end. Tonight we did a good job of burying chances.”
