The Colorado Avalanche will host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals in the Ball Arena on June 18.
Defending champions Tampa Bay Lightning will have their work cut out when they take on the Colorado Avalanche in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Colorado won Game 1 in breathtaking fashion. Both teams were locked at 3 – 3 and the game went into overtime when Andre Burakovsky scored to give Colorado its fourth overtime win of the 2022 playoffs.

The Avalanche scored two quick goals and led early in the first period. Lighting goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy had a bad game by his lofty standards. After a Nick Paul goal cut the lead to one, Artturi Lehkonen made it a two-goal lead again with another first-period tally. The Lightning struck back with two quick goals of their own in the second period to tie the game. Burakovsky then ended it in OT.
Colorado has a great opportunity to take an unprecedented 2 – 0 lead over the defending champions and considering the game is played at home in front of their fans, it is surely advantage Avalanche before heading back to Tampa for Games 3 and 4.
